Distribution Games: A New Class of Games With Application to User Provided Networks

User Provided Network (UPN) is a promising solution for sharing the limited network resources by utilizing user capabilities as part of communication infrastructure. In UPNs, it an important problem to decide how share among multiple clients in decentralized manner. Motivated this problem, we introduce new class games termed distribution that can be used distribute efficiently and fairly bandwidth capacity users. We show every game has at least one pure strategy Nash equilibrium (NE) any best response dynamics always converges such equilibrium.We consider social welfare functions are weighted sums bandwidths allocated clients.We present tight upper bounds price anarchy stability these provided they satisfy some reasonable assumptions. define two specific practical instances fit assumptions.We conduct experiments on demonstrate most settings obtained very close optimum. Simulations also leads fair bandwidth.
